Dorel Juvenile's Cosco brand was invited to be a part of “Mission: Healthy Baby”, a baby shower for local expectant military families hosted by the March of Dimes and the Boston Bruins. Over 40 military moms-to-be enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Langham, Boston. They mingled with the Boston Bruins wives and heard from national parenting experts.
Cosco was proud to provide Light ’n Comfy LX car seats and car seat safety tips to each expecting mother, including a mother who was surprised to find out she was having triplets. Other New England-based sponsors, Philips Healthcare and Picasso Jasper also provided gifts and resources, showering the moms-to-be in true baby shower fashion.

The latest pregnancy and newborn health information from the March of Dimes Mission Healthy Baby program was provided, as well as details on how to build local support networks from Hello Mamas, a social media site that provides a channel for military moms and expecting moms to meet up locally for playdates and support.
Mission: Healthy Baby was designed specifically to address the unique needs of military members who may be stationed far away from the support of family and friends, or who may be fighting a war while their partner is home, expecting a child. The purpose of the event was to empower military moms through education, resources and local community.
Cosco launched the “Car Seats for Everyone” program at this event, our campaign to provide a safe and affordable car seat to every family. By partnering with charitable organizations, like the March of Dimes, as a way to give back, this program will support Cosco’s line of car seat options. It was a very touching and heartfelt event, and we were more than happy to be there to support military families so close to Veterans Day.
