Your missionDorel Juvenile is looking for an Engineering Associate to join the Compliance team at our Design and Development HQ in Foxboro, MA.
Key responsibilitiesThis position will support the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs with regulatory reports and written correspondence to internal and external customers including regulatory bodies. Ability to coordinate and work cross functionally with R&D, Marketing, Customer Care and internal/external labs to coordinate investigations as needed. Perform safety, regulatory and reliability research. Support customer and licensor compliance for contractual obligations. This position will require the dissemination and review of product issues with Product Integrity Engineers which have been identified by the Consumer Relations Department, Government agencies and customers. Provide/assist with regulatory and compliance training. Coordinate testing protocol with third party labs for product outside our core competencies. Monitor Certificate of Compliance database. Review, monitor, and approve online content, packaging and instructions as needed. Facilitate monthly meeting with teams to insure necessary compliance updates are being incorporated correctly and on time in order to minimize cost impact such as obsolete inventory of product and components.
Your profileAssociates Degree in engineering or science along with experience in consumer product testing and analysis at a product development company. Experience with working with one of the major testing labs: BV, UL, Intertek, TUV, SGS preferred. Experience following and using processes and procedures and collaborating with product development teams required. Must have working knowledge of standard test methodology such as ASTM and ISO. Highly organized; able to manage several competing requests and prioritize accordingly. Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to handle confidential data. Capable analyzing data and creating and delivering summary reports. Knowledge in Microsoft Teams and Share Point a plus. Some domestic travel may be required.
