Your mission

As the Design Manager you will utilize your strategic leadership skills to drive positive outcomes. working closely with our product managers, account managers and like-minded global counterparts, you will be responsible for identifying, interpreting and implementing global market trends to define and deliver our next generation of comfort & style .

Key responsibilities

As the Design Manager you will be responsible for: • Maximises the ability for a project to meet profit expectations • Provides technical, construction and procurement advice and assistance to the Product Manager and other personnel • Manages project timelines ensuring project meets all milestone dates • Works closely with engineering, product managers, and quality teams to ensure the design is produced in a timely manner meeting design brief, regulatory and construction requirements. • Build and approve specifications packs and measurements sheets • Support pattern engineer with sewing and pattern development when required. • Daily communication with overseas suppliers • Building style and comfort roadmaps to win against the competition

Your profile

The successful candidate will ideally possess: • A genuine passion for safety and lifestyle products • Minimum 3 years in a management role in the fashion or upholstery fields • Understanding of sales/business development and product development • Strong technical background in pattern drafting and manipulation • Understanding of mass production sewing and development • Formal qualifications in Design & Textiles • Experience working with overseas suppliers & manufacturers • Solid Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office skills • Attention to detail, excellent self & time management
